Rules & Regulations

General Rules
  1. Students admitted to Maulana Azad College of Education must follow the rules and regulations and maintain discipline on the college premises.
  2. Eighty percent attendance is compulsory as per University and NCTE rules.
  3. Educational tour is a part of the training programme for B.Ed. second year students.
  4. The Principal is authorised to sanction leave in consultation with the Secretary.
  5. During regular college timings, students are not allowed to undertake any other course or job. Immediate action may be taken for violation.
  6. Every student is expected to make the best use of the library while adhering to all rules and discipline.
  7. Students must take care of college property and maintain the premises neat and clean.
  8. Student conduct in class and on the college premises must not cause disturbance to others.
  9. The college premises are a plastic-free zone.
  10. A student continuously absent beyond the permitted attendance without informing the college may be removed from the rolls and charged readmission fees as per rule.
  11. Students must attend in the uniform specified by the college.
  12. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited on college premises.
  13. Students are expected to follow the decorum of the college.
  14. Ragging is a crime and against the law. It is strictly prohibited inside and outside the college premises.
  15. All students are required to carry the identity card issued by the college.
  16. Maternity leave is not permitted during the B.Ed. course.
  17. No student shall take part in unlawful activities such as strikes.
  18. Before admission, students must submit an affidavit declaring that they are not employed during the course.
Library Rules
  1. Silence must be maintained in the library.
  2. Books must be handled carefully. Damage, writing or scribbling may be charged as per rule.
  3. Students must bring their library card and all books must be entered in the library register.
  4. Any damaged book must be reported to the librarian immediately.
  5. Books are issued for 10 days and may be extended by 5 days when there is no demand from another student.
  6. Failure to return a book within the maximum period of 15 days attracts a fine of Rs. 5 per day.
  7. A lost book must be replaced by the student.
  8. Reference books shall not be issued.
